If you live in a cold climate then heating your living space is very important. I lived in New England for 26 years and there were many winters that I wish I could just light a fire and huddle around it. Sadly, that’s not possible in the average apartment. Electric fireplace inserts
If you have a fireplace in your home that is not in working order or you just don’t want t take the time and energy needed to maintain the chimney, flue and fireplace then an electric fireplace insert is your best bet. These are a lighting instrument that replicates the light cast off by a real fire. They don’t produce any heat and can be run 24 hours a day without worrying about ash, embers or… well… fire. They don’t produce any actual flame but electric fireplace inserts still give a good ambiance.
